TreeHouse Time for Toddlers and Preschoolers
The Treehouse is Open!
The ZPC Children's Ministry Team is so excited about the opening of the TreeHouse in room 11.
The Treehouse is our new worship area for preschoolers and toddlers (around 18 months and up). The children sing praise music with the Worship Singers and then settle in their seats for a Bible lesson lead by our Preschool Ministry Team Leader, Kristin Inskeep. Each week Kristin will open her treemail and find a letter from a preschooler. With the help of Sami the Squirrel and the Bible, Kristin and the children will help the letterwriter solve his/her problem.
There are plenty of laughs and giggles along the way as the children's eyes are open to how Awesome God is and how much He cares for each child.
Our younger nursery toddlers will still enjoy a smaller group setting for their Bible lesson using our Treasure Chest and our toddler friendly Bible. This lesson will either by lead by myself or one of our Nursery Assistants, Amanda or Lauren.
Parents are always welcome to sit in on our lessons and share this time with the kids!

Christmas Season!
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Your children are learning about the story of Jesus' birth in the toddler room this month. Last week we looked inside the treasure box to find a small plastic Little People baby. Then the children looked into our Bible to find out why a baby was our clue for the week. They learned that Mary and Joseph traveled far and had Baby Jesus right alongside the animals.
After Bible Time the kids got to use stickers to re-create the scene. Everyone did a great job.
This week we will talk about the birth of Jesus again and why that is so special for us.
Have a great Christmas!

God Made the Food We Eat!
This month of November we will learn that God made the food we eat. Last week, the kids learned that God made vegetables. I tried very hard to put a positive spin on this topic and the kids seemed receptive to it.
This week the toddlers will learn that God made fruit. With the help of our surprise treasure box, the kids will uncover the clue. Then, using our Extra Large Bible, we will discover what the Bible has to say about the clue: that God made fruit, of course.
With the help of some toddler favorite songs, Fruit salad by the Wiggles and Apples & Bananas,we will thank God for giving us the food we eat.
Take a moment this week and discuss with your child where the food we eat comes from. Also, please practice the mealtime prayer before each meal. We do this simple prayer before snacktime in the toddler room.
